Acer Liquid MiUi V4

Hi All,

I made MiUi V4 for the Acer Liquid/E based from the CyanogenMod9 from ThePasto

- He and his team takes all credit for the CM9 ROM

This needs some testers and so it will be great for some people to report back

I CANNOT TEST THIS ROM AS I DO NOT HAVE A ACER LIQUID... If my Dad (TheShak) will let me try on his that would be great... Highly doubt as he doesnt want to do the CM9 installation...

I have made a version for the 512MB LiquidE and the 256MB Liquid.

Im guessing the installation is the same as CM9.

If anyone finds a problem, please report back and also if there are problems, can someone fix them as I cannot

HOW TO INSTALL [!!Read Carefully!!]

• Install CWM Recovery needed for new partition layout [REQUIRED]
  • • Download CWM acer Liquid Recovery pakage and unzip it
    • Run the installer script for your O.S.
      • Boot in Recovery Mode [Don't skip this steps are relly required to get new partition layout working as well]
        • • A1 owners (256mb ram) necessarily require a SWAP partition, an EXT partition is also suggested for both liquid models
            • • • if you don't have one create it:
                • choose Advanced option in recovery menu
                • select Partition SD Card
                • choose your prefercences and wait for partion process end
                  • • Wipe ALL [iMPORTANT]

            [*]select wipe data/factory reset[*]select wipe cache partition

            [*]Rom Flash

            [*]Download cm9 archive for your device and push it to your sdcard[*]Select Install zip from sdcard[*]Choose cm9 archive and wait for installation end[*]Select reboot system now

            [*]ENJOY your MiUi

            I also think SU from MiUi does not work nor does backup themes...

78% Done... The Acer Liquid 256MB ROM is first. Then I shall do the LiquidE. Im not sure if there is a difference between both but ill do it like that as CM9 was like that.

What are you on about Phoenix? And yeah TheShak is my dad and I cba to go on miuiandroid... im not sure if this ROM works. I did it all blind pretty much

i instaled it like cm9 it blocked on miui.us screen i also tried to install app2sd to activate the swap (like i have to do to install cm9) same result

Guys, if you really want to try miui v4 (2.3.7) - you can try this one - http://webfile.ru/5860668. Its not actually my work, its only based on old beta cm9 of our team and was made automatically via this app.

There are problems with gprs/3g connection, its slow and there are a lot of reboots. You can flash it if only you want to see miui v4 (2.3.7) on liquid, absolutely not ready for daily using and will not be supported by anyone in future:-)

seems like you doesn't have proper kernel/ramdisk, but cm9 one should be fine

i was using CM9 kernel, but i gave up, i don't use MIUI anyway, i prefer speed over looks

i tried to combine a rom and i'm getting installation aborted error status 7..i dont know what to ..i took cm9 beta 2 as base and miuiv4 2.4.13 (nexus one rom from miui.us).can anyone help me in solving that error..its my first try to compile a rom!

i tried to flash it, but i says: can't find update script

i think because it's not zipped directly in the root

i re-zipped it in the root, but i get a problem when flashing (Error in status 7)

and the main thread links are not working

help please (need ICS miui for Acer liquid)

i first tried to compress it using winrar, but the size changed to smaller, so this is not the right way

and then i entered the zip file, and changed the files from the folder to the root (using winrar, opened 2 windows and copied then deleted)

and the size is same as the original

and this doesn't worked

i believe there is a specific way to zip it which i don't know
