so i know people have different views on sense. and I mostly dislike it myself......but......the new HTC one X has a super cool ics recent apps thing going on....

I guy over on XDA has ported it to his own phone (nexus s) and it looks a little something like: (NB: embedded youtube video below so if no flash watch in app with this

)

pretty neat huh?

anyways, question is....

has anyone got the time (and skills) to get this on the skate?

if so, follow this link: http://forum.xda-dev....php?p=24623171

where he has very kindly posted his source code so other phone forums can have a crack at making their ICS experience better. I for one (think) i prefer this recent apps list over the stock version. but even if I don't like it when we get it working, it would still be a cool addition to our ICS theme/modding options.

oh and cheers to evilisto for the work put in, and resources posted.

You need to compile it from source, it's not an apktool job.

It's in patch form, you don't need to compile from source. Problem is I have limited experience with Ubuntu and when I try to flash the patch I get this hunk error...which I'm trying to find out what it is..

You don't even need to do that. Follow the link in the post to the Nexus S section. Download the CM9 zip from there. Then unzip and copy and paste the apks in the correct places - copying framework-res first. Then reboot and copy systemui and reboot again. You should now have the sense style of multitasking. I did this and it worked.

Of course you need to compile from source if you want to patch. Look at the file names inside the patch. Than perform another facepalm :D

Lalit has, I don't even have cm9 anymore.

3d games like fifa tend to lag quite a bit from what I've seen.

okay that one works. looks good.

do you want to write it up as a [mod] thread and change the script so its not the blue tint text? as you were the one that did it?

if not i dont mind doing it (or putting it at the first post of this thread) and saying everyone praise razzmataz1478 haha (not trying to nick your work. just trying to allow others to see it)....

your choice....
