Text messages fail to send

hi, ive noticed for a while that quite often text messages will fail to send. i then retry to send and it pretty much then goes through but it has me worried thet my phone isnt connecting to the network properly. ive noticed a few times that text messages suddenly come through aftor ive just done something with my phone and its making me wondor if its been sitting waiting and my phone activity has been whats connected it to the network and allowed the text to come through. has anyone olse had this and is there anyway to see if its my phone doing it or if its just network congestion?
