Guest [email protected] Posted April 17, 2012 Report Posted April 17, 2012 Is it possible to run Windows Phone on our device? Maybe there is some port from ZTE Tania?
Guest JimJam707 Posted April 17, 2012 Report Posted April 17, 2012 No, Windows Phone is closed source so the chances of us getting a port is 1 in a million. The ZTE Tania is a completely different device.
Guest iKrautDroid Posted April 17, 2012 Report Posted April 17, 2012 Gawd! Make these threads go away!
Guest jventura Posted April 17, 2012 Report Posted April 17, 2012 Is it possible to run Windows Phone on our device? Maybe there is some port from ZTE Tania? There was a CM7 theme which I believe was very similar to the windows phone theme.. Search and you shall find..
Guest Sulthekk Posted April 17, 2012 Report Posted April 17, 2012 Why people want a closed, less optimized system (which would be also illegal on this phone) which has less functions to be ported?!
Guest squidlr Posted April 18, 2012 Report Posted April 18, 2012 Why people want a closed, less optimized system (which would be also illegal on this phone) which has less functions to be ported?! Some people don't want to be tracked by Google, which is a good reason to use an alternative OS to Android. I think Google is corrupting and using the good ideals of the open source movement for their own ends. Android is not appealing as it used to be.
Guest vNa5h Posted April 18, 2012 Report Posted April 18, 2012 Why would any body want a windows phone Sent from my ZTE Blade using Tapatalk 2 Beta-5
Guest adizz Posted April 18, 2012 Report Posted April 18, 2012 wp works better on phones with relatively weaker hw. Android on the other hand is laggy even on high spec. phones IMO.
Guest [email protected] Posted April 18, 2012 Report Posted April 18, 2012 There was a CM7 theme which I believe was very similar to the windows phone theme.. It's too laggy. And doesn't even look like original WP. I've used Nokia Lumia in mall. And now I'm in love.

That would be a valid argument if it wasn't full of sh1t. How to avoid tracking by Google: 1. Download aosp or cm. 2. ??? 3. Profit! Now you only have to worry about tracking by you mobile carrier and your government. And Google because they're all over the Internet. And every single Site you visit. If you don't want to be tracked use the DarkNet. It's too laggy. And doesn't even look like original WP. I've used Nokia Lumia in mall. And now I'm in love. Of course it doesn't look like WP! For F's sake its android. If you want that shitty Nokia than buy it. Even if mango would be ported (Impossible due to the laws of physics. I'm serious. ) it would be laaaaaaaaaaaagy as hell. WP has hardware requirements. It'd easy to optimize for specific hardware, see Symbian, which was able to boot from zero to full in 6s on some phones. Also, if you are afraid of being tracked by google, would you run to microsoft? In my opinion, ms tracks users as well. Using opensource gives some breathe, but all the sites track you (Google Analytics for example), if you see a single ad, then you are tracked.
