Tethering to Playstation Vita

Hi,

I'm new here so hope this is in the right place?

Is there anyway to tether the San Francisco / Blade to a PS Vita? I can set up a wifi hotspot which gets recognised by the Vita but it doesn't seem to load any web pages once connected or allow me to connect to the Playstation Network.

As far as I can make out it needs to use infrastructure rather than ad hoc wifi (I have no idea what either of these things mean)

Is this possible on my phone? I don't want to waste my time if there's no chance of it working but if someone with a bit of knowledge can help me out I would be grateful!
