Guest XMasterNinni Posted April 28, 2012 Report Posted April 28, 2012 (edited) ZTE Porting Tool Easy ROM Porting for everyone *************************************************************************************************************** What the hell is this? The ZTE Porting Tool is a tool that makes it easy to port ROMs between ZTE Devices (currently only ZTE Skate <-> ZTE Blade) Easy, Fast and Simple to use. What do I have to do? With this script, you just have to obtain the ROM you want to port. This Tool automatically downloads the ROM you need as base and unzips it. Just follow the instructions. ****************************************************************************************************************** Supported Devices -> ZTE Blade ZTE Skate will follow soon! Devices, you can port from... -> ZTE Skate -> ZTE Crescent -> Other devices with armv6 chip -> HDPI recommend ****************************************************************************************************************** Install Instructions (Tested on Ubuntu 11.10!) Just download the tar.gz file and unpack it to your home directory. You should now have a folder called "portingtool". Go inside the folder and double-click on the portingtool.sh file to start it, or open it using a terminal. Follow the instructions Done! Or just read the readme inside the tool. lol Important Notice <<First start the tool, then extract the ROM you want to port.>> ******************************************************************************************************************* Download Download Now! *********************************************************************************************************************** Screenies ...Sorry for the mouse inside the Screens! Guest XMasterNinni Posted April 28, 2012 Report Posted April 28, 2012 It just needs a certain Linux OS. (I recommend Ubuntu.) May work with Windows & Cygwin.

Guest XMasterNinni Posted April 29, 2012 Report Posted April 29, 2012 (edited) Yap thats ok. Your output is in /Blade/port_rom/Port.zip Just flash it in CWM! Will add better "finish" in next release! Edited April 29, 2012 by XMasterNinni
Guest Loren82 Posted April 29, 2012 Report Posted April 29, 2012 (edited) port within the zip folder are the Meta-if the boot.img file and a file system, with this system I do?. Sorry, so many questions, but I've never used linux, thanks Just stick my files within the zip port.zip and the rom I have chosen to carry and I substitute? Edited April 29, 2012 by Loren82
Guest XMasterNinni Posted April 29, 2012 Report Posted April 29, 2012 (edited) Wait... a file called system or a directory?? Are you sure you followed the instructions well? And did you choose Android 2.3.5 in the tool? Edited April 29, 2012 by XMasterNinni
Guest XMasterNinni Posted April 29, 2012 Report Posted April 29, 2012 Yeah... Also tried it with AtomicMod, and it worked... Are you sure you unzipped the original AtomicMod to the port_rom folder?
Guest Loren82 Posted April 29, 2012 Report Posted April 29, 2012 I'm using Ubuntu 11.10 at Virtualbox, unzip the rom AtOmIcMod-ICS-STYLE-BETA-2 and the files inside the folder I put own_rom, then open the program, choose the blade, which is not then if the rom is a 2.3.7 or 2.3.5
Guest Loren82 Posted April 29, 2012 Report Posted April 29, 2012 It is important that the folder is in portingtool somewhere special?, I have it in thedownloads folder, ah, if I choose 2.3.7 does not create anything and removes files from the own_rom
Guest XMasterNinni Posted April 29, 2012 Report Posted April 29, 2012 (edited) Hmmh... Let own_rom as it is! Just unzip AtomicMod to the port_folder and start the program, then choose Android 2.3.5 and continue. Do you have Internet Connection? Edited April 29, 2012 by XMasterNinni
Guest Loren82 Posted April 29, 2012 Report Posted April 29, 2012 (edited) Well, and followed these steps, unzip the rom and get into the port_rom folder, open the program, 1. porting tools, a. zte blade a.continue, a. 2.3.5, a.download, and get this: Download ZTE Blade Android 2.3.5 Stock ROM ------------------------------------------- Downloading... --2012-04-29 18:49:07-- http://205.196.123.168/36mu29fs9zhg/o355x94oc2gb1e5/GB_TELE2_P729VV1.0.0B03-Signed.zip Conectando a 205.196.123.168:80... falló: La red es inaccesible. Unzipping... unzip: cannot find or open GB_TELE2_P729VV1.0.0B03-Signed.zip, GB_TELE2_P729VV1.0.0B03-Signed.zip.zip or GB_TELE2_P729VV1.0.0B03-Signed.zip.ZIP. Finishing... a = Continue x = Exit I give to continue, to top out a lot of errors that will not download anything since xq I remove Internet and then start adding a lot of files, then I take the port.zip and get into the phone, but I install it, I wipe and nothing, still not start Edited April 29, 2012 by Loren82
Guest XMasterNinni Posted April 29, 2012 Report Posted April 29, 2012 No man, you definetly need an Internet Connection. The tool downloads the Stock ROM for you and unzips it. You can download this file manually and put the zip into the own_rom folder. Then continue and everything should be fine.
Guest Viento del Sur Posted April 29, 2012 Report Posted April 29, 2012 Wonderful news. Fingers crossed for also functional blade to skate...! There are great roms in blade. Thank you very much.
