Guest cristi12 Posted April 30, 2012 Report Posted April 30, 2012 (edited) Hello, I have a ZTE Blade and a Samsung wep200 bluetooth headset which i'm trying to use on skype. Problem is, whenever wifi is on, BT is not working or barely working: -wifi OFF and BT ON: can make normal calls and skype calls over 3G just fine with the BT Headset. -wifi ON and BT ON: Can make normal calls using the BT Headset only if i hold the phone next to the headset, and still the quality is very bad. Can't make skype calls at all. Anybody know if this is an issue with the blade's BT/Wifi, or is the samsung headset just crappy? I've used it with lots of phones before but none of them had wifi... Guest sheennick Posted April 30, 2012 Report Posted April 30, 2012 this is a very common issue with many android handsets with wifi on the bluetooth performance decreases drastically....there is nothing you can do about it...at least nothing that i know of...
Guest Stuart_f Posted May 3, 2012 Report Posted May 3, 2012 Agree 100% with sheennick. I can stream BlueTooth audio to my car perfectly with the WiFi off. If the WiFi is turned on (even if not connected to an accesspoint) the BT audio will drop out every 30 seconds or so (presumably coinciding with the WiFi polling for available networks). Bluetooth and WiFi share the same 2.4Ghz band so interference is highly likelywhen you cram the antenna into such a small space. Throw in some ZTE build quality and disaster is inevitable.
Guest Snaku Posted May 4, 2012 Report Posted May 4, 2012 I want to confirm that I'm having the same Wifi/Bluetooth interference on the Blade, my stereo headset is a SE MW600. I've no other android phone to test right now, but this headset works perfectly fine on my PS Vita with wifi + bluetooth on.
