Skate Vs Crescent

Sell me on the Skate! I'm doing the same thing in the Crescent forum as well.

I'm looking for a cheap phone. Really customisable. overclockable, durable, easy to use, full of features, decent battery life.

Ps I'm a noob to android but I learn fast.

Outside of the screen, they're essentially the same phone, or very similar. The screen on the Skate is significantly larger and also better spec'ed. On the other hand, I think the Crescent may offer a forward facing camera (iirc) whereas the Skate doesn't.

My advice would be to go for the Skate if a 4.3'' screen is a big selling point for you. If that doesn't concern you, get the new Huawei G300 instead, which is likely a better phone than both the Crescent and the Skate anyway.

*note* The Huawei has had reported low speaker sound issues, so check out the forum first if you're considering it.

G300 is fantastic other than sound issue which Huawei claim will be fixed in a few weeks. Also it's getting official ICS and tilal is getting one!
