Guest Pinguy Posted May 3, 2012 Report Posted May 3, 2012 (edited) I keep see this posted all over the place people wanting to keep the Acer bubble notification but use the default Gingerbread lockscreen. This is what this CWM flash file will do. It will completely remove the Acer Lockscreen with all its widgets but will let you keep using the Acer bubble notifications. Guest scotth324 Posted May 3, 2012 Report Posted May 3, 2012 This is great Pinguy. Get the best of both worlds. I'm gonna have to change my ROM again.

Guest oRangeK Posted May 3, 2012 Report Posted May 3, 2012 (edited) Hmmm, I flashed this and I got the standard Gingerbread lock screen indeed. However, it broke my widgets: all widgets are replaced by white squares saying "problem loading widget". I'm using GOLauncher and the A2SDX version of the performance rom. Back when I used gingerounay-rom for a while this also happened after every restart. Ah after restarting a few times it seems that only the first time my widgets were broken. EDIT: forgot to thank you Pinguy, I apreciate the work u put into all of this. Edited May 3, 2012 by oRangeK
Guest franzo87 Posted May 4, 2012 Report Posted May 4, 2012 I flashed this and my metal went in bootloop.... I made a nandroid..
Guest jackofspade Posted May 5, 2012 Report Posted May 5, 2012 I flashed this and my metal went in bootloop.... I made a nandroid.. Me too. I think the script below to update build.prop is incorrect. It should be the other way around. busybox sed -i 's/acer.shell.mode=DISABLE/acer.shell.mode=ENABLED/g' /system/build.prop
Guest 00Mark Posted May 13, 2012 Report Posted May 13, 2012 Anymore news on whether this will work? I'm using stock ROM 2.3.6. Don't really want to mess anything up, spent a lot of time getting my phone where it is :D.
Guest recorder Posted May 13, 2012 Report Posted May 13, 2012 this is working for me... i using performance 4.3a rom
Guest franzo87 Posted May 13, 2012 Report Posted May 13, 2012 I've forgot... I've tried with stock 2.3.6 (and a lot of modding...) if you want try you should make a nandroid backup from recovery ;)
