Guest MLB1949 Posted May 4, 2012 Report Posted May 4, 2012 Can anyone help me on this? I just picked up a second Samsung Galaxy Nexus i9250 (GSM), and I am not able to either edit (or add) a new A P N (Access Point Name). Nothing appears in the list. This is an unlocked i9250 global version, running a month-to-month T-Mobile cellular service SIM card. My other (first) i9250 is the same device, and has no trouble running T-Mobile (and, I can set/edit the APNs on this device). Its Android 4.0.4. Both phones are identical, but I absolutely cannot set the APN in my second i9250 .... thus, no phone/text/data service (doesn't even show my phone number!) All help will be greatly appreciated!
Guest cassio Posted May 7, 2012 Report Posted May 7, 2012 apn only affects data connections, won't affect your sms or phone calls. something else is wrong. are you sure you're not in airplane mode or something?
Guest MLB1949 Posted May 7, 2012 Report Posted May 7, 2012 It was a "bad firmware" issue. Not having any APN listed (and not being able to set or edit the APNs List), does, however, preclude my having cellular and text services...as well as not having mobile data service. Thanks for your reply.
