Reset button?

I just noticed there is a "reset" button a little left from the battery (under the case). After pressing it, the phone just rebooted, that was exactly what I was expecting. But after turning on, phone's GPS locked to 5 satellites instantly, while just a minute earlier I couldn't lock on to 2 in 5 minutes. So whatever this button does, if you have problems with GPS speed try pressing this button.

EDIT: By the way, I'm really interested in this, because some time ago I read an article about resetting some spring in the GPS module. Maybe in addition to rebooting the phone without taking out the battery it also resets the spring?
