Great work! Giving 2.3.7 a spin, lookin' good!

This was long, long due...

Found one more glitch, if you turn the phone to get buttons on the left the image gets a little offset...

* more specifically to 270º

The camera seems to work fine, took 3 pictures all correct.

Wi-fi patch ok too.

The multitouch patch, what does it do? I have 2 finger multitouch without it. Will it just fix the quirks or add fingers ?

I tried adding Portuguese to the 2.3.7 rom, so far 50% success lol. Some things are translated, but most of the system is still in english. The good part is that now the applications I install detect the Portuguese language and so I have all the apps in portuguese.The shutdown menu also is in portuguese. I took the language from the blade cm 7.2 rc rom.

The multitouch patch, what does it do? I have 2 finger multitouch without it. Will it just fix the quirks or add fingers ?

Can you zoom in and out fotos with 2 fingers, in the gallery for example? I couldn't. Had to double-tap, kind of annoying hehe.

Yeah, pinch zoom wasn't working, but the patch fixed it.

And the camera started hanging too... It was already cross-eyed, taking pictures not so much related to the preview :blink: :D

Anyone else has the image offset ( and chopped ) problem when rotating to 270º?

Rom 2.2 was not going to run. Phone stiff.

Rom 2.3 installed.

I do not understand good English, Chinese characters somewhere. The difficulty of such a setting.

Please insert Czech language.

Yep, just noticed that now after seeing your post. The image is a little to the left. Weird. You can always just rotate counter-clockwise :)

I'll read more and learn about how the languages work in android, once I manage to put it in portuguese like I've been testing, we can put any other language.

Browser no transfer data, does not work.

Google accounts no connected.

Please insert Czech language.

You can allways add the Czech Language if it's availabe at CM7, although, I'm not sure how.

Prior to install, open the ROM zip, \system\app\ and delete the apps you want to. Root Explorer is in chinese for instance.

You can add a correct version after.

It's a bit tricky, you have to add the languages to the major system apps, I have a list from miui roms of the files that need change, but I haven't got one for CM7 roms, I'm just going with the gut.So far I have 4 system apk's changed, most of my 2.3.7 installation is in portuguese now. I'm using the lang files from the cm7.2 RC blade rom, no problems so far.

After I figure out all the apk's that need change, I'll just add the other languages. So far we need portuguese, czech and turquish. I could put all the languages but I think it's better just put the ones that are needed by most users to keep the rom slim and clean :)

Btw, just out of curiosity since I changed most of my rom installation already, do you guys have all the languages on the keyboard dictionary?

Wify even after reinstalling angry.

After editing the router is running the browser (router wifi setting MCS=Auto, previously 10).

Google account can not connect (Unable to open connection to server). Server gmail.com

@StaryMuz did you follow cuttysark76 instructions? That's what everyone did and so far no one reported those problems after installing the patches. If google doesn't connect, you need to install Gapps.

On another topic, can you guys test something for me? I would do a patch but I don't know how. Please only do this if you're confortable messing up your phone :P

This file is the LatinIME.apk from the blade cm7.2 rc rom. It has some dictionaries for your keyboards, although it is missing some. The portuguese dictionary works fine :)

Connect your phone to your computer, run cmd.exe, then:


adb remount

adb push LatinIME.apk /system/app

adb shell

# cd /system/app

# chmod 755 LatinIME.apk

# exit

adb reboot

I'll be waiting for some input ;)

daponte: I've just tried your file and it works.

The only strange thing is some white borders or background when the phone is on landscape orientation.

Will try a lil bit more during lunch.

It's a no-go.

My phone got stuck at boot. Totally black screen, no response whatsoever. My guess is that it's related to PIN input keyboard.

Yeah I noticed the white borders too, but it is working fine here. Your phone is stuck at boot because of that file? Sorry about that man:\
