Guest staud Posted May 9, 2012 Report Posted May 9, 2012 Hey guys, yesterday night I flashed burstlam 's AOKP CM9 RC6.3 ROM. Under that ROM, the google account calendar sync worked without problems for the first hours. Today I had immediately an error which has been staying for hours till now. "Sync is currently experiencing problems. It will be back shortly." In the sync settings, next to the com.calendar entry the sync symbol has an exclamation mark. I tried to delete the calendar storage as known from gingerbread but it doesn't show up in the "all" tab under "manage apps". Is the calendar storage app not part of ICS? Neither force sync nor clear data in the standard calendar (not storage) app helped. Any ideas? I DO miss my calendar :( Even now, after restoring a nandroid backup which I had made 12 hours ago, the calendar is still broken! But I'm sure that it had worked when I made the backup. How's that possible? Please help me Anyone else having problems with Google calendar sync? Maybe my issue has nothing to do with the ROM or my device but is Google related? even the nandroid backup did not help me, that's why I guess so... Any ideas? Thanks in advance!
Guest steeperton Posted May 10, 2012 Report Posted May 10, 2012 (edited) Alternatively, flash gapps_fixer via CWM. (Note, this isn't mine, I got it from xda, when needing to fix the same problem on my Xoom - make sure you take a nandroid before flashing this!). gapps_fixer.zip Edited May 10, 2012 by steeperton
Guest staud Posted May 10, 2012 Report Posted May 10, 2012 @jeddy: Even if nandroid restore didn't help? @steeperton: can you give me a link?
Guest staud Posted May 10, 2012 Report Posted May 10, 2012 Any idea why I can't find the calendar storage in order to clear it?

Guest staud Posted May 10, 2012 Report Posted May 10, 2012 @ steeperton: Thank you! Meanwhile I found it by myself. But since I don't use normal gapps but the gapps version that burstlam provides in his AOKP thread I was not sure whether this is compatible. So I wiped and reflashed everything. Now calendar again works. Calendar storage is again where it should be (manage apps). Ouuuufff... But I really don't understand why nandroid restore hadn't helped.
