:) It's stopped working!

Is it possible I've done something to it ? I haven't droped it. The only 'tinkering' I've done is putting new homescreens on it.

I didn't take out the insurance so it's going back to HaysTech late tomorrow if I can't sort it out before then.

I don't want to, but I really need it to be working!

Please- any ideas?

thanks-I saw that bug when I did a search to see if it had come up before.

also tried a hard rest(brown trouser moment when it took a whil;e to come back to life!)

no joy :)

any other ideas?

Also, the phone seems to reset to the homepage after about 5-10 seconds if I don't touch it- most anoying if I'm reading.

Does the backspace key work when you're browsing the web? i.e. does it take you back to the previouly-viewed page?

Re. the Homescreen timeout - you can adjust this by going to Programs -> Settings -> Home Screen -> Time out. 10 seconds is the default timeout, if I remember rightly...

No,

I'm getting no function at all with it!

also I have the timeout set on 10secs. I did before I did the hard reset but it's never gone back to homepage before.

In that case your phone needs to go back to the shop; it's faulty.

About the homescreen - no matter what it did before the hard reset, this is what's causing it to revert to the homescreen all the time. I have mine set to 5 minutes, seems to be about ok.

Ok then, thanks for trying to help though,

They said it may take 4 days!

I can't be without it for that long!!!

sad isn't it?

Not being tech minded it is nice to see all the work people are putting in to expand the software/games.

Is it possible to play the game 'Elite' ? if so I don't think I'd ever get anything else done!

No problem, mate. Hope mine never has to go back - if it dies, I'll be reduced to using an old 3210 until the SPV gets repaired. Nokia's anathema to me, I doubt I could handle it :)
