Guest Mark Dearlove Posted May 10, 2012 Report Posted May 10, 2012 If you are a proud owner of the monster 'phablet' known as the Galaxy Note then you will be pleased to know you can now grab yourself some ICS loveliness. Depending on your location, you can either download the update over-the-air, or plug in and download using Kies. So far we have Dutch and German users reporting that the update is available. Let us know if you manage to get your Note updated. Source: Twitter user @blue13x Click here to view the item

Guest Dr Who Posted May 17, 2012 Report Posted May 17, 2012 I would point out that there have been a spate of bricks reported over at XDA, and currently the cause is thought to be the Kernel update that comes with the OFFICIAL ICS upgrade for the Note - the advice is don't flash until its sorted http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1633943
Guest Posted May 17, 2012 Report Posted May 17, 2012 I bought a Note from eBay. It turned out to be German model but this is not really an issue. Checked for updates yesterday (16th May 2012) and updated to ICS over the air without any issues. I have to say, though, I have never been more underwhelmed (or less overwhelmed?) with any software update for any hardware. Ever.
