This means the basic functionality of the app is available to everybody, however the premium features come at a cost. The main app plus a single country map download are included free. You can use CoPilot GPS as a standalone mapping/GPS app that also has offline mapping capabilities. This is a great feature as you will not need to rely on the data connectivity of your device when out and about. If you want to add turn by turn navigation, traffic assist or any additional maps, you will have to cough up. Voice guided turn by turn navigation will set you back £19.99, ActiveTraffic is priced at £7.99 and map upgrades cost from £6.98 up to £26.99 depending on the country you need. You can still purchase the full CoPilot Live application which at £20.82 for UK mapping and 12 months of ActiveTraffic remains a great price for the features.
