Guess I have a unique problem here ;(

Dell XCD35 with below details – via blade checker

European Blade (512MB RAM) detected

TPT Upgraded Gen 2 Phone detected

Use Gen 1 style TPTs

Current Partition sizes:

System: 160MB

Data: 294MB

Cache: 2MB

I had followed the instructions from http://www.modaco.co...ra-via-windows/ via windows & installed the Dell stock rom (Dell XCD35 Froyo 2.2[Gen2])

But ever since then I am getting the insufficient space error when I trying updating or download something from the market.

I do NOT get this error if I install any .apk files via App Backup & Restore.

Also tried to TPT (via TPT Helper) to install Gen 2 stock with 37mb cache, 210 system, 204mb data, 4mb oem assuming the system partition has become to small but it gave an error while installing.

Can you please help me :(

I don't think the stock rom will work with the 2mb cache as it probably doesn't have the scripts to set up the tmpfs necessary for play store to download / update apps. Use a different custom rom, that specifically has option to set up tmpfs for small cache partitions.

I think the TPT might have failed as you have a windows upgraded gen2 instead of tpt upgraded gen2.

Yes you are right I had used a custom gen 2 firmware update & hence all this confusion.

@Quantam provided me with the stock firmware update & it did the tirck.

Now I have Sys – 215MB / Data – 203MB / Cache – 37MB

Thank you for your inputs!!

I started seeing this problem yesterday

I have no downloaded, upgraded or changed any of my settings recently

I am using the CM 7.2 ROM

Can anyone help me figure out why?

@ thomasboyd there is certainly a mismatch between custom rom n partitions; plz use the right TPT & then reload CM 7.X that's suitable ;)

Yes maybe but why would it have only started happening yesterday

I've not changed in my ROM in months and encountered no problems previously

What does TPT standfor?

I've installed TPT helper but when I go to run the app it says its not supported by my ROM

When I try to start the app on restart it just hangs and nothing happens until i remove the battery and start over

Tried creating my own TPT specifically for a Cyanmod ROM but I get this error

"Failed to copy ztepack. Please make sure you are rooted and gave superuser permissions"

I have superuser giving root to this app..?
