Guest todoleo Posted May 18, 2012 Report Posted May 18, 2012 Archos have released a firmware update for their ICS equipped tablets, the 80 G9 and 101 G9. The firmware update is labelled 4.0.6 and is available to download from the Archos website. The 4.0.6 firmware update brings mainly bug fixes and reliability improvements to WiFi and MicroSD performance. The changelog from Archos is as follows... Wi-Fi: fix more disconnect cases happening on some access pointsGPS: increase stability of GPSHDMI: do not propose overscan setting when TV supports underscanmuSD: improve reliability of card insertion detectionmuSD: fix read/write permission issue occurring with some applicationsApplications: fix platform reboot occurring sometimes after a while when using high CPU demanding applications We've had reports of some G9 tablet owners having problems updating over the air using the "System Update" option in "About Tablet" in the "Settings" menu. Downloading the firmware update from the website directly onto an Archos G9 device and then installing from there seems to be the best upgrade path at the moment. If you are an owner of an Archos G9 tablet let us know how you get on in our forum thread. Source: Archos Click here to view the item
