de-branded rom on Vodafone doesn't seem to support data

I flashed my G300 with the de-branded rom this week (which is great BTW) only to find that the phone stopped providing any data services (other than wifi of course). As soon as I reverted back to the Voda stock rom data returned. I am wondering if this is specific to me or if others have had the same issue ?
