Guest PaulOBrien Posted May 23, 2012 Report Posted May 23, 2012 Images primarily show Vanilla style - of course Sense style is available too! I'm pleased to present my MoDaCo.one ROM for the HTC One X (Tegra 3)! READ THIS WHOLE POST BEFORE YOU START! No, really, it contains everything you need to know. ;) About MoDaCo Custom ROMs (MCRs) MoDaCo Custom ROMs are based on official ROMs - either shipping or leaked. A MCR release is designed to feel as far as possible like a stock ROM, with optimisations, tweaks and complimentary additions that enhance the user experience. The aim of a MCR is to be ultra reliable for use on an everyday device. MoDaCo Custom ROMs include online kitchens that allow the user to choose between stock ICS or Sense style for most features on the device! About MoDaCo.one The MoDaCo.one ROM is available for the HTC One X (Tegra 3), HTC One X (S4), HTC One S and HTC One V. Requirements In order to use this ROM you must have ClockworkMod Recovery installed - this can be installed using ROM Manager from the Android Market. The ROM is installed at your own risk. Future Updates - READ THIS! By providing this ROM I am not implying in any way that future updates will follow. Due to limits on my time and the fact that I have a large number of devices for short periods of time, it isn't possible for me to continue providing ROM updates indefinitely. Please do not donate / sign up on the assumption that future releases will be available (I don't want you to be disappointed!). And finally... If you would like to show your appreciation for the ROM, please consider supporting MoDaCo by signing up for a MoDaCo subscription! Enjoy! :D P
Guest PaulOBrien Posted May 23, 2012 Report Posted May 23, 2012 There may be a short wait while the load balancing software determines the best kitchen to serve your ROM. The kitchen should appear below within 20 seconds.

Guest PaulOBrien Posted May 23, 2012 Report Posted May 23, 2012 Just to confirm this is a NON WIPE install (even for Vanilla style!) P
Guest PaulOBrien Posted May 23, 2012 Report Posted May 23, 2012 This ROM is deliberately NOT re-signed, so you can apply any third party tweaks you want and they should work if they're for 1.29.401.11. Of course, back up first just in case! Once you have the system how you want it, you can then run 'Odex Me' if you have a kitchen build to Odex on demand and save you a bunch of space on /data. P
Guest Nos Posted May 23, 2012 Report Posted May 23, 2012 Deselecting the HTC lock screen doesn't allow you to tick the ICS lock screen in the kitchen, will this be a problem?
Guest akaspin Posted May 23, 2012 Report Posted May 23, 2012 Is vanilla completelly senseless (phone, contacts etc.)?
Guest PaulOBrien Posted May 23, 2012 Report Posted May 23, 2012 Deselecting the HTC lock screen doesn't allow you to tick the ICS lock screen in the kitchen, will this be a problem? No, deselect HTC lockscreen to activate the stock ICS one. P
Guest PaulOBrien Posted May 23, 2012 Report Posted May 23, 2012 Is vanilla completelly senseless (phone, contacts etc.)? Yes. P
Guest Nos Posted May 23, 2012 Report Posted May 23, 2012 Installed a bake, up and running and looking good :-) Thanks Paul!
Guest akaspin Posted May 23, 2012 Report Posted May 23, 2012 (edited) Yes. Apologies for the meticulousness. But I see a lot of HTC stuff in app directory. Phone.apk is AOSP? I just hate sense after Nexus. Edited May 23, 2012 by akaspin

Guest akaspin Posted May 23, 2012 Report Posted May 23, 2012 Phone is HTC, dialler is ICS. Ohh. This will cause troubles with ICS lockscreen on incoming calls. Same as in "ROM Cleaner" from xda.

Guest akaspin Posted May 23, 2012 Report Posted May 23, 2012 Interesting, will check it out! Thanks. I would gladly subscribe to the kitchen to replace buggy (for now I hope) CyanogenMod9.
Guest raph santerre Posted May 23, 2012 Report Posted May 23, 2012 (edited) It took around 15 mins to generate a kitchen rom (without signing the update) with a low workload (nobody in the waiting list but 4 rom being made) ... so be patient ;-) Edited May 23, 2012 by raph santerre
Guest hecatae Posted May 23, 2012 Report Posted May 23, 2012 Will wait for lockscreen mentioned above before installing

Guest dupersuper Posted May 24, 2012 Report Posted May 24, 2012 Thank you for this great Rom, Paul When I open up HTC locations from the Car app, it will crash with a "unfortunately locations has stopped" Is there any fix that I can try?
Guest raph santerre Posted May 24, 2012 Report Posted May 24, 2012 (edited) Ohh. This will cause troubles with ICS lockscreen on incoming calls. Same as in "ROM Cleaner" from xda. When a call arrives and the screen is off, the ICS lockscreen is displayed first, you have to unlock it sliding the locker the normal way, then the incoming call screen is displayed and only now you can answer or decline. The ICS lockscreen introduces an additional step to unlock the lockscreen before being able to answer or decline the call More generally, with the vanilla, the ICS screens are in the middle of the Sence screens : for example, the phone call dialer is ICS, but the screen to enter the SIM code is Sense ... The notification drawer is Sence, the Settings are essentially Sense but some parts are ICS (the Android Keyboard for example) ... a little bit confusing IMHO. Will wait for lockscreen mentioned above before installing All you have to do to get the ICS lockscreen is to unselect the HTC lockscreen item. The Google lockscreen will automatically be added (The Google lockscreen item can't be selected). Edited May 24, 2012 by raph santerre
Guest huey-t Posted May 24, 2012 Report Posted May 24, 2012 so like I just renewed my premium membership but when I click on the 'Click to Bake' it redirects me to the Modaco Store :S
Guest dr_ysp Posted May 24, 2012 Report Posted May 24, 2012 Dear Paul, great ROM, I am enjoying it so far, only one tiny request, would you please add HTC reader app in kitchen, as you would know they took it out for some insane reason, I used to love that app from old HTC devices nontheless, i personally feel you are the best of the developers, I am your fan since my HTC hero days, i had deflected to sgs 2 and awaited mcr kitchen but now i have moved on to HOX

Drop me a PM if you're still having an issues letting me know which server you are baking from. P
Guest Nos Posted May 24, 2012 Report Posted May 24, 2012 (edited) Been testing my bake for a bit, getting lots of 'unfortunately browser has stopped' messages when performing certain functions (like setting accounts up). Does the HTC framework need the stock browser to be present? I de-selected it on my bake. EDIT: Turns out the stock browser is present in my bake, thought I'd de-selected it! Hmm, will keep testing... Edited May 24, 2012 by Nos
