Guest oxyg3n89 Posted May 25, 2012 Report Posted May 25, 2012 (edited) Hi here! i rarely start new topics as google usually helps, but this time i have really strange behavior. Bought phone for cheap second hand and trying to fix now... The phone boots up and everything works but CPU is always 99-100% ! i flashed new TPT, tried latest CM7, other roms...problem is still here. In system info there are processes but none of them shows high usage. The lag is mostly noticeable in scrolling, 5-10 fps in main settings menu some other apps or home screen, keyboard delay a lot too. When quadrant bench is running, it does show very low results in 2D graphics (score 53 only) however CPU gets score 700. looks like adreno graphics broken, could this be? angry birds running well! this blade is real circus as other blade i own works with no issues. Any help ? Edited May 25, 2012 by oxyg3n89
Guest Haxorg Posted May 25, 2012 Report Posted May 25, 2012 1. Install atomic of custom rom. 2. Get advanced task killer, and set Autokill to every 30 mins. 3. Get juice defender. And there you have it a very fast ZTE skate with great battery life!
Guest oxyg3n89 Posted May 25, 2012 Report Posted May 25, 2012 (edited) BLADE is mentioned here. and there are no additional apps installed, ram free 220-250mb Edited May 25, 2012 by oxyg3n89
Guest darren_ Posted May 26, 2012 Report Posted May 26, 2012 I'm not sure if it's the same problem as you are using a custom ROM, but I had similar issues with high CPU usage after bootup on original Orange (UK) ROM ... have a read of:- http://www.modaco.co...e/page__hl__lag It may help ... Darren.
Guest targetbsp Posted May 26, 2012 Report Posted May 26, 2012 Yeah the only place I've seen similar was in the stock rom. Or perhaps early froyo - I don't quite recall. Certainly in no recent roms/ It was something to do with the light or prox sensor. I seem to recall having to cover it until the keypad backlight came on and then the phone was fine. So you could try that to see what happens?
Guest oxyg3n89 Posted May 26, 2012 Report Posted May 26, 2012 latest post good one :) opened my phone, replugged and cleaned prox/light sensor connection and now my phone works perfectly. thanks ;)
