i've seen on the Huawei UK facebook page that its been asked a few times and they've replied that they'll see what they can do.

a part of me is wondering if they'll release it when the vodafone 3 month deal is finished.

Vodafone have a three month exclusive on the phone before it goes out to other networks etc.

But it doesn´t change anything of getting kernel source from huawei, which really helps of getting CM9 ;)...How about make some kind of petition through XDA and Modaco? :)

Yes, they really should release it, regardless of any deals they've made with carriers.
