Guest PaulOBrien Posted May 26, 2012 Report Posted May 26, 2012 The Samsung Galaxy Ace 2, Samsung's budget challenger, is now available to buy from 3 in the UK... but it isn't as cheap as you might expect. Priced at £229.99 on a PrePay plan, the Galaxy Ace 2 comes in at almost double the cost of the original, and pushing towards a price point where unquestionably superior devices are available. The HTC One V for example is only £10 more. Key specs include... 3.8” WVGA screen5 megapixel camera with autofocus and LED flash,Fast 800MHz dual core processorLarge 4GB internal memoryHD video recording I'm sorry, but fast and 800MHz / Large and 4GB should not be found in the same sentence nowadays. :D The most significant upgrade from the original Ace is the switch from a 3.5" HVGA screen to a 3.8" WVGA screen, but sadly that does not a desirable phone make... particularly with that lethargic processor. That said, I know quite a few people who are fans of the original Ace, so if you are interested, head on over to Three to learn more. Click here to view the item
Guest the juggernaut Posted May 26, 2012 Report Posted May 26, 2012 still better than the iPhone and the original sg ace
Guest V6ser Posted May 26, 2012 Report Posted May 26, 2012 It's fast, 800MHz dual-core is same as Iphone 4s. Large 4Gb - GFYS Samsung.
Guest stevec611 Posted May 27, 2012 Report Posted May 27, 2012 It's has more similarity to the Galaxy W than to the original Ace. Same screen, camera, android version. The differences: 1.4GHz single => 800Mhz dual core, 512MB => 768MB RAM, 2GB => 4GB ROM. Three were selling Galaxy W payg for a couple of months at the start of the year, for a time at 180UKP. Then they quietly withdrew it.
