[BRICK] Unbricking a stock phone

i got a zte blade 2 (german medion version) from a friend, which is bricked. No modifications (unlock, cwm, rom) done so far.

does boot, shows the animation, hangs there. no adb enabled, so no details i can obtain during boot process. maybe wiping /data partition would solve the problem.

anyway - first solution coming to mind as an android veteran, install cwm, install cm9, problem solved, phone improved.

but all unlock guides in this forum mention two things:

- fail and you got a brick (is it brick² then?)

- enable adb on the installed rom (implicitly saying, there is an installed rom required)

it seems wise to me to ask for advice before doing something wrong.

off-topic: is #zte-crescent the only irc channel for this? it seems kinda dead.

since i got no stock rom to enable adb in. all i got is FMT.

is there any way to format /data from fmt or do any kind of factory reset? that probably would enable the stock rom again, and i could follow the default unlock guides.

there is a way to TPT CWM onto the device, which will then enable you to flash whatever ROM you like

Quick google search only reveals download off an apk which installs cwm.

From my current point of investigation, all i can access is the fmt mode, but it's neither fast boot nor anything adb related. So what is fmt?

but this assumes the phone is unlocked already. applied this patch, now no fmt mode anymore.

from what i learned, there should be a stock TPT which installs original stock rom to start from...

oh boy - i made one big mistake - i trusted someone about what device it is.
