Guest timoti111 Posted June 9, 2012 Report Posted June 9, 2012 Hi is it possible to port this http://www.linaro.org/ to our Skate? Here is something about that http://www.androidauthority.com/linaro-android-is-up-to-twice-as-fast-as-stock-android-92831/.
Guest tilal6991 Posted June 9, 2012 Report Posted June 9, 2012 Yes it'll be in when the cm team merge it or I set up gcc 4.7 which is hopefully soon.

Guest Josh92 Posted June 10, 2012 Report Posted June 10, 2012 Great, could be great for skate users, considering giving AOSP a look in today.
Guest felystar Posted June 10, 2012 Report Posted June 10, 2012 Lalit, do you think it will have worse battery life as it is faster than stock?
Guest Josh92 Posted June 10, 2012 Report Posted June 10, 2012 Lalit, do you think it will have worse battery life as it is faster than stock?hopefully not too much as it should just be more optimised.
Guest timoti111 Posted June 10, 2012 Report Posted June 10, 2012 Lalit, do you think it will have worse battery life as it is faster than stock? I heard somewhere that when CPU is computing all commands faster it needs smaller voltage and battery is draining slower or something like that :) . But im not pretty sure about that.
Guest razzmataz1478 Posted June 10, 2012 Report Posted June 10, 2012 Linaro have basically optimised Linux system files, that have been made open source and free to use if I'm right?

But im not pretty sure about that. Could be the case, if it's more efficient, then the same can be done at lower clock speeds, so you could underclock, save battery and not have a bad experience.
Guest trueno2k Posted August 26, 2012 Report Posted August 26, 2012 Linaro have basically optimised Linux system files, that have been made open source and free to use if I'm right? In a sense, it's Linaro's way of giving Ice Cream Sandwich some Project Butter!... :P
Guest razzmataz1478 Posted August 27, 2012 Report Posted August 27, 2012 Is this going to be ported? Lalit already integrated it but there was no substantial difference.
