Guest gingerhead Posted June 11, 2012 Report Posted June 11, 2012 Found this USB cradle with an HDMI output for S3. Does anyone have experience in using this kind of device? What can I do with HDMI? There is one without HDMI and it's like 2 times cheaper! So, what's the catch?
Guest Gary Crutcher Posted June 12, 2012 Report Posted June 12, 2012 HDMI is the standard for connecting Hi-Def video output to a display which supports Hi-Def. For example, a Blu-Ray DVD player to a 1920x1080p display (and 720p - the lower hi-def standard). It allows hi-def video output from your SGS3 to a supported monitor. I have heard the SGS3 hdmi does not work well with 720p which is a lower hi-def standard. So, if you have 1080p video you have recorded on your SGS3, you can display the output to a big screen monitor which supports hi-def and has an HDMI input.
