Guest Karucifer Posted June 14, 2012 Report Posted June 14, 2012 Originally due for release on April 26th, subsequently delayed and then assmed AWOL, Rockstar have finally released the Android conversion of the original Max Payne to Google Play. For only $2.99 (or £2.32 in real money) you can pick up the orignal bullet-time shooter, complete with the cheesy one liners and from what we can tell original untouched visuals from 2001. Be warned, the app is a bit of a heavyweight. The initial download while tiny (<50MB) requires additional 1.25GB in game files downloaded before you can begin playing. We're assuming that Rockstar have taken up Google on the increased file size downloads direct from the Google play servers as although the downloads are large, they were also speedy despite the huge numbers already purchased and downloading. Device compatibility for the launch day of a Rockstar title isn't bad, with most modern handsets listed. The S3 is absent from the list but we're happy to report it installs and runs without a hitch. Guest hecatae Posted June 15, 2012 Report Posted June 15, 2012 Got a menu bar permanent while playing this on my one x. Think HTC need to know that the menu bar needs to auto hide while playing games etc.
Guest Mtman1 Posted June 17, 2012 Report Posted June 17, 2012 Does the game data really have to be so big? Shadow gun was 250-500mb and gta was 400mb...
