SD Cards

Hello,

I want to buy myself a new SD card as quite frankly 2GB isn't enough and it's ridiculous. Just wondering if you guys would think a 4GB class 4 would be fine? I want to store a few rom backups on it, apps2sd and if 4gb is enough then I'll partition my SD and move my dalvik cache there. Would it be okay for speed etc?

Class 4 is quite slow imo. I'd recommend a Class 6 and above and if you really want to indulge get a Class 10.

That's decent value, but quite a few SD cards on eBay are fake... You can't tell until you get it

be careful mate i bought a "kingston" 32GB class 10 MicroSD from an Ebayer and its fake as fcuk, constantly crashing, barely transferring 1mbp/s ,and it is always needing to be formatted otherwise it cannot be used

Same one I've had since I got the phone, works fine for me. I would advise getting one of those little usb jobs off ebay too, just in case you have problems getting data on to the card. e.g. One of these

Every micro SD card I have ever bought comes with a full size SD adaptor. If your computer has an SD slot, then you won't need the USB adaptor.

Not every computer had an SD slot, EVERY computer has a usb slot and they're 99p ;)

Its simple really, backup your SD, boot into cwm, there's an option in there to partition, select your size and wait. After,flash the darktremor scripts and install Apps2SDGUI, and select move davlik cache :)

Hm... Well, personally I would reccomend 500mb, then 100(or something) MB for the next. I chose 500 because 1gb is too big and I need room for music (I'm sure you can back me up on this ;) )

Thanks again. My phone has no music on, I have a 160gb iPod Classic with 5000 songs on- Over 150 Shikari tracks too ;-). Can you take off the partition if you wanted to by formatting the card or not?

150? I dunno if that's all of them, but I have practically everyone I can find. Still can't find the Hybryd ones though :P. I think it does. I formatted mine once and it went, so probably :)

I've got every studio album, most if not all LPs/EPs/Singles etc and most covers/remixes. My hand signed AFFOC is on my wall looking down at me, it's glorious.
