Guest Gary Crutcher Posted June 18, 2012 Report Posted June 18, 2012 (edited) OK... Here is the Quick Panel 15-button update for XALF2 ROM: Thanks to wanam@xda-developers for original code on SGS2 which I modded for the SGS3. XALF2-QP15-Update.zip: https://hotfile.com/...Update.zip.html Make backup BEFORE you install this. How to install: 1. Download update 2. Copy update to sdcard 3. Reboot into recovery 4. install XALF2-QP15-Update.zip Note: Icons are traditional green and only 5 buttons show due text wrapping issues with 6 buttons. Enjoy your 15-button Quick Panel. Guest Gary Crutcher Posted July 15, 2012 Report Posted July 15, 2012 Hi, can i install a full wipe ROM when i have no ext-Sd? I'd Yes, the ROM does not require an external SD.

Do not worry about the message if you have no extSDCard. The brightness bar can be removed as it is in a .xml file. But you need to decompile SystemUI.apk, remove it then recompile it. If I have time this weekend I will post a copy of the SystemUI.apk without the brightness bar and the framework-res.apk without the Swipe text for the Dutch language. Thanks that would be nice Don't know if i use my phone more now on your rom but it looks like it's a bit more battery eater as on stock... Are you also giving jelly bean a go or will you stick to the modded stock rom's?
Guest Gary Crutcher Posted July 20, 2012 Report Posted July 20, 2012 Thanks that would be nice Don't know if i use my phone more now on your rom but it looks like it's a bit more battery eater as on stock... Are you also giving jelly bean a go or will you stick to the modded stock rom's? I am having great battery life. Could be you are using it more. I have tried some of the Jelly Bean roms and I will wait for now. Will play around again in a few weeks to see where it is at.

Guest Gary Crutcher Posted July 22, 2012 Report Posted July 22, 2012 Yeah i think you'r right, i just use it more ;-) But 2 days is a bigg maximum for me I will be releasing ZSALG3 ROM sometime today. It will have a fix for all languages and the "Swipe to unlock screen" msg. Additionally, the brightness control in the quickpanel pulldown does not work so it will be removed.
Guest Muloo Posted July 22, 2012 Report Posted July 22, 2012 (edited) Great ! have seen the log, one thing i wounder, can't i just flash over existing rom or is that way you integrated titanium. Also i'v seen in your screenshots the icons in your bar are blue, i can not find this option anywhere. Edited July 22, 2012 by Muloo
Guest Gary Crutcher Posted July 22, 2012 Report Posted July 22, 2012 Great ! have seen the log, one thing i wounder, can't i just flash over existing rom or is that way you integrated titanium. Also i'v seen in your screenshots the icons in your bar are blue, i can not find this option anywhere. The install package will format /system, /cache and /data. It has nothing to do with Titaniumbackuo. As far as the blue icons, they are customizations for my phone. They are all in 4 apk files: SystemUI.apk, framework-res.apk, Contacts.apk and lidroid-res.apk. Note: I have hidden the clock in the statusbar. If you want these 4 files in a CWM package let me know.
Guest Muloo Posted July 22, 2012 Report Posted July 22, 2012 The install package will format /system, /cache and /data. It has nothing to do with Titaniumbackup. That what i meant with "you integrated titanium" it's because it is a full wipe so you need to back up before upgrading to newer rom, therefor titanium. Sorry for my bad explanation As far as the blue icons, they are customizations for my phone. They are all in 4 apk files: SystemUI.apk, framework-res.apk, Contacts.apk and lidroid-res.apk. I don't need the clock in statusbar, i am using the one on the lockscreen

Guest Gary Crutcher Posted July 23, 2012 Report Posted July 23, 2012 (edited) @Muloo Attached are the files with the blue icons. Copy the zip file to your phone. Reboot into recovery. Install from recovery. Reboot your phone. I copied these from my phone, so I know they work okay. Make sure you do a backup before installing this. Enjoy, Gary https://hotfile.com/...eIcons.zip.html Edited July 23, 2012 by Gary Crutcher

Well...what did you restore? If you restored system settings or system apps then that could be the problem. I am using the same ROM and have restored 173 user apps with no problems. I never restore system settings nor system apps. The only thing that was changed in the files was icons and hiding the clock in the statusbar. Additionally this is for ZSALG3 ROM.
Guest Muloo Posted July 24, 2012 Report Posted July 24, 2012 To be clear, your customization zip works great, looks realy cool and all. I backed up previois rom before installing your new release and tryed to put back all the stuff that is green in titanium. Anyway it dont matter anymore. I did a complete settings setup by hand, old style ;) Keep up your good work!
