Guest Geostar Posted June 18, 2012 Report Posted June 18, 2012 Just wondering what would be the best way to restore the phone to the original ROM, recovery etc so it is as it is out of the box, as I am getting a new phone (HTC One S) and would like to sell my Skate.
Guest mhstrijbos Posted June 19, 2012 Report Posted June 19, 2012 Download aan stock rom and flash it using cwm.
Guest C3C0 Posted June 19, 2012 Report Posted June 19, 2012 Restore from CWM won't restore the stock recovery. CWM remains there. So I recommend going for TPT flash. For instance: ZTE Skate (unbranded), Android 2.3.5 Android version: 2.3.5 Baseband: P743TB01 Kernel: 2.6.35.7-perf zte-kernel@Zdroid-SMT Build: ZTE-SKATEV1.0.0B01 http://ceco.sk.eu.org/omc/ZTESkate_TPT_ ... 0.0B01.zip MD5 Checksum: 6856dd0d5d23bd018bdc9ed221fe8e05 How to flash: 1) Download ZIP and extract it into the root of SD Card. After that you will find directory "image" with one file in it "image.bin" in the root of SD Card 2) Power off your phone 3) Press simultaneously [VOL+] [Menu] and power on the phone while keeping the buttons pressed 4) Flashing progress bar will appear - do not interrupt the process 5) After flashing is finished phone reboots automatically
Guest Geostar Posted June 19, 2012 Report Posted June 19, 2012 If I was to do a TPT of the original Orange ROM would the phone remain unlocked?
Guest TouchyAndalou Posted June 19, 2012 Report Posted June 19, 2012 If I was to do a TPT of the original Orange ROM would the phone remain unlocked? Yes, no TPT will re-lock the phone.
Guest Geostar Posted June 19, 2012 Report Posted June 19, 2012 (edited) C3C0, could you possibly link me to a TPT for the original Orange UK ROM please? Need this thing as standard as possible. Edited June 19, 2012 by Geostar
Guest oscar-mark Posted June 24, 2012 Report Posted June 24, 2012 Can't you get more money for it if it's rooted? Or is that only for Jailbreaking?
