CWM will not restore

Hi,

I've had the G300 for a while now and have always had problems with CWM. I've followed the guides and installed roms (B886), rooted and installed CWM. Everything is OK and CWM will do a backup, however it will not restore and I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

I receive the following message

E: Format _volum failed to unmount "/system" Error while formatting /system!

Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

I seem to remember having that happen as well but on the second attempt it worked fine even though it was the same backup I was restoring.

All my restores do it. I completed a backup and then as a test immediately tried a restore without leaving CWM. It still produces this error.

The only way I can change roms is to use the update.app method.

I've gone from B882 to B886. Found that B886 will not install protected apps.

Went to B885 (from Huawei website) but this doesn't have a vendor update and is missing a load of apps and the drop down window switches even though the rom is 487mb

Back to B886 and I'll have to stay here

When I had that issue I rebooted cwm then went to advanced restore and restored each part manually.

I'll try that. I don't need to wipe anything before a restore do I?

I managed to get CWM to do a restore of the latest backup. Tried it a second time and it fails due to MD5 mismatch. I haven't done anything apart from a reboot.

According to md5summer my backups have problems with the data and system img but I have restored at least 2 of this backups before
