Guest Posted June 21, 2012 Report Posted June 21, 2012 I am aware root is needed to freeze apps, but I wondered if anyone here knows of a way around this ? The only solution I can think is to user a launcher that hides apps, which debloats the rom visually. It sure would be nice to deorange the san diego as much as possible, even though this is near impossible without root,I just thought I would ask in case somebody has a workaround,or maybe knows of an app which in effect would freeze system apps without root.
Guest iam_smithers Posted June 22, 2012 Report Posted June 22, 2012 No, I don't think there is any way of doing that. Not until we get ICS at any rate.
Guest Posted June 22, 2012 Report Posted June 22, 2012 (edited) Why would ICS change that, would it still not be orange bloated ? If we was getting AOSP like ICS that would be awesome, but I am doubting it as orange just love to ruin android with orange and there crapware. Edited June 22, 2012 by Guest
Guest PaulOBrien Posted June 22, 2012 Report Posted June 22, 2012 You need root. ICS adds a 'disable' option in the UI, if they choose to leave it enabled. P
