Any ideas why my skate did this? It essentially fixed itself.

Here's the story.

Not too long, but long-ish.

One day I flashed on the MIUI port into my skate. I loved it, except it was prone to freezing. Not a problem. When it froze, it only froze for a few seconds and then continued on like nothing happened. Sometimes it would reboot, but rarely.

One day I was going through the theme app, seeing what was available for the lock screen. I found one that looks similar to the v1 sense lock screen, where you pull it down. It had messages and phone icons on the sides, which, when pulled down will open the corresponding app.

I wanted to see if this worked, so I tried the phone. Nothing. I tried the message. Nothing. I tried the middle. Nothing. This is when I found that the phone had frozen, so I waited for it to unfreeze. It didn't. Instead, it started emitting a horrible high pitch noise at full volume.

After this, my speaker stopped working....

Now, just yesterday I was using widgetlocker and I saw this lock screen again. So I did the exact same thing again, and it emitted the horrible noise. Only for a second though. Then, I switched back on after a reboot and now all my sound works again!

Any clue as to what ACTUALLY happened? I don't want to do it again...

Your phone has achieved sentience, send it to a government secret operations laboratory to be terminated!

I'd just see if it plays up again, it's the unrepeatable issues that are difficult to fix.

I think the government has finished its experiment on you, so everything's back to normal......I hope.

It's just so strange how an MIUI lock screen started it and an MIUI lock screen (the exact same one) ended it!

Maybe NOTW was trying to find my voicemails. Pity I don't have any ;)

My CFX ROM skate did the very same thing yesterday. A reboot solved it, but I tried to find the cause before the reboot but nothing apparent.
