Do i have too Root, to use Link2SD ?

I have the problem of running out of space ive followed the tutorial on here about installing Link2sd and formating the SD card with its 2 partitions etc,

but now when i click on the link2sd app on my phont too transfer all available apps too sd it says i need root access?

is this a must or can i by pass this somehow?

yes. you need to tell the system to mount an extra partition. so in short. yes you need root. then link2sd takes care of the rest by putting the nessesary scripts in the right place.

Yep you need root. Its not that hard to root, just look at the stickies
