Guest billpine Posted June 26, 2012 Report Posted June 26, 2012 Hey all.. tried to restore my stock nandroid backup with Clockwork from Sebastian's de-branded ROM but keep getting an error message can't format /system. Tried advanced mode but no joy also tried the usual clean-up and wipe but no go? Any thoughts?

Guest Davidoff59 Posted June 26, 2012 Report Posted June 26, 2012 Sounds like a root issue but not sure. The reason I say that is because System is usually off limits to users. Do you have super su or super user installed?. I'm not sure exactly how cwm recovery is implemented and whether it needs root to work.
