Texts seem to kill Radio & phone calls

Morning all.

I upgraded my San Fran to Moldovan Mile-High-Mountain-Pie a few weeks ago and all in all, I'm pretty pleased with it apart from .....

Whilst listening to the FM Radio, if I get a text message, it stops all the sound from the radio and I have to switch it off and back on.

I also had a message come through whilst I was on a call the other day (to a call centre!) which just killed the call stone dead. I'm not sure if it was an email or a text TBH cos I was a bit cross by then LOL

Anyone got any ideas or should I just upgrade to a different ROM (one hopefully carrying an FM radio with RDS like the one I had on my Froyo ROM)

OR, should I think about ditching my little ZTE and upgrading to a different handset?

Again, any recomendations would be welcome :)
