Guest djprotoss Posted June 28, 2012 Report Posted June 28, 2012 (edited) So, I have a pulse mini (uk, t-mobile) currently sporting a custom recovery partition. However, to get past 2.1 I need to go via the telenor rom, which only appears to be availiable as a dload/updata.app file when all the custom recovery partitions take zip'd up packages. So, I found a perl script which cuts up updata.apps to get the imgs from inside, and extracted the recovery.img from the telenor and original roms, but that doesn't seem to work quite right ( it boots into a recovery program, but one which uses update.zip) What are my options? Can one of the custom recovery programs flash the original roms (all updata.apps)? Do I need to rename / move / mangle the files? Is there a zip update to restore the original firmware? can I apply the updata's from within fastboot? Alternatively, can I just flash the extracted baseband from the swedish rom using fastboot / clockwork? If so how / which file? Regards, Oliver [EDIT] Okay, I just discovered that there was a third key-combo ( red + up) as well as the ( red + down ) and ( green + up ) combos I had been using. I figured that posting this would lead me to find the solution three minutes later, but I remain surprised when it does. Edited June 28, 2012 by djprotoss
