system process which initially handles all media passed through the system (not only music, video, ringtones).

Initially links with:

-camera libs

-audio libs

-media apps such as player

-picture processors on different levels

-video/audio codecs

-all other native interfaces(frameworks-libraries bridges) so with runtime library too

plays one of the main roles on android interlevel(framework-library-kernel) communication.
