I miss Orange!

Firstly, can I say a huge thank you to this forum for being so informative. I've gone from not knowing anything whatsoever to using clockworkmod and running skatie on my OMC, and all without asking any questions because the advice you give here is so clear. So, thank you. I love what my phone can now do!

Now, for my very first question. I've tried to find the answer, but had no luck.

There are a couple of bits that came with the orange bundle that I really miss, namely Orange Gestures and the camera/gallery combi widget.

I've read that I could download a stock ROM and use an APK manager to install the relevant files. I'm OK with the process of that, but I've no idea what to download and what files to use. I've found a couple of stock ROMs and there's nothing in the zip folders that seem to shout "gestures" or "camera/gallery widget" at me. I get the feeling that I'm missing something really obvious!

Does anyone have any ideas how to do this or what files I should be using?

I have to disappoint you regarding gestures. Lockscreen is a very system dependent component and cannot be simply extracted and used in other roms.

What you can do is try different rom's that have this feature. I recommend MokeeOS or cyanogenmod 7.2 (they both have their own threads.)

Regarding widget - it is built into some of the Apk's so it's a question of finding out which one it is.

Oh no :( It's a shame, because I've seen other gesture apps but they don't seem to work in the same way Orange Gestures does, you always have to launch something first which I think sort of defeats the object!

There is always Google gestures.

You could always set it to launch from lock screen, if you use CFX
