Hi,

Basically as the title says, will our phone ever be powerful enough to run jellybean? And will anybody try and port it?

Thanks

We need to look at source code. Visualy it looks like ICS. If the code is ICS in a little bit modified and corrected, it won't be difficult to port it

I read that jb needs lot of ram, I'd like first a full working ics, then we can focus on jb.. hopefully v sync and triple buffering will increase significantly speed on low specs devices too

The nexus s will be updated and has got 512mb. Don't worry, we have enough ram.

Isn't it better to have 1 fully functional custom built ROM than 3 almost-ready?

CM devs originally said it wouldn't be a problem, but more recently they've said it'll be a bit more difficult than they thought. (This is all coding though)

That said...if CM9 works properly, and the device tree is complete, then CM10 shouldn't be an issue.

@hackf0rce

Are u trying it?? Keep us updated

I'm lost with this ramdisk part, I'm not a dev and I'm not familiar with that part of the Android OS. It's possible if anyone wants to have a go. I'll do some research and have another shot though...
