I saw this posted on techcrunch yesterday, has anyone tried it? There are 2 threads over on XDA with details:

Says it only works on AOSP roms so not sure what that covers? Looks like a very cool (or very creepy) new Jellybean feature, but is it worth messing with ICS to get it, or just waiting for Jellybean on the G300?

I'm thinking about giving this a go but somehow I have a feeling the HUAWEI rom is not based on AOSP. I could be wrong, of course. I'm sure Paul or Dazzozo could tell us for sure.

Will create a Nandroid a bit later and give it a shot.

Every ROM is eventually based on AOSP

It works on Huawei's ICS for everything apart from the voice search so the main feature pretty much...

Voice search works once you have wifi and I assume data turned on but it just doesn't work very well, or maybe I'm doing something wrong.

Got it working without too much fuss but not sure I see the point. It's basically just the location services and a laggy text search.

One to keep an eye on, though.

No voice search here with wifi on

My bad I was using something else.
