Guest Paddy_ Posted July 10, 2012 Report Posted July 10, 2012 I know its a long shot lads, but know that we have ICS does that make the chance of sky go, on the handset any greater?
Guest Simon O Posted July 10, 2012 Report Posted July 10, 2012 No. Sky Go doesn't run on unsupported devices.
Guest Paddy_ Posted July 10, 2012 Report Posted July 10, 2012 But there is a few 'unsupported devices' running it... is there not? What makes this 'app' so difficult to port to other handsets?
Guest scuzzbucket Posted July 10, 2012 Report Posted July 10, 2012 You could try the apk floating around on XDA, but don't get your hopes up. Apparently there is (according to that thread) an ICS update on the horizon. I get "unsupported device" on my phones.
Guest Raving-Raccoon Posted July 30, 2012 Report Posted July 30, 2012 If the desire HD is supported, maybe you could find a specific apk just for that, sinces the G300's specs and Desire HD's are almost identical.
Guest razzmataz1478 Posted July 30, 2012 Report Posted July 30, 2012 (edited) v2.0 is now out, and only supports unrooted devices. You could try this but I doubt it would work, unless you change your build.prop to ro.product.device=Desire HD But doing this requires root, and even if you remove the root after doing this, Sky still seem to have a way to detect root after you've removed it.
