Guest kyan31 Posted July 14, 2012 Report Posted July 14, 2012 (edited) I have successfully booted ICS on my G300 but when i use the bootloader.exe program, i have a BIG problem. When i try to root, it does some stuff and then it tells me the root failed. It doesn't seem to be able to locate the phone or something. Any ideas on how to fix it? USB debugging is enabled, so I really don't know what the problem could be. Edited July 14, 2012 by kyan31
Guest Hpez Posted July 14, 2012 Report Posted July 14, 2012 Does adb work i.e. if you open a console and type adb devices can you see your phone listed?
Guest timfimjim Posted July 14, 2012 Report Posted July 14, 2012 You need to install the correct usb drivers

Guest ovecka Posted August 19, 2012 Report Posted August 19, 2012 So you tried to unlock it via the unlockbootloader.exe file according to the guide and this cmd window is what you get from clicking the root button?
Guest Berty1 Posted August 19, 2012 Report Posted August 19, 2012 Yes, exactly, but don't know what to do know? All drivers are insatalled (no problems to see in device manager, too) usb debugging is on.
Guest ovecka Posted August 19, 2012 Report Posted August 19, 2012 (edited) Well, I don't speak german but looking at the picture you posted, it would seem that you are unable to run the hwadb shell because of the "&" in your Windows username. The other commands are not run in the android shell but in the windows one. Try to navigate to c:\users\yournick\AppData\Local\Temp\ to run the hwadb shell manually and execute those scripts manually one after another or change your Windows name for a second to something without special chars. :) Edited August 19, 2012 by ovecka
