Guest HuaweiAscend Posted July 16, 2012 Report Posted July 16, 2012 Hello, I had this issue in B888. I cannot change the voicemail number? Any ideas why? I thought being a stock ROM, I'd be able to do this. I'd rather not root the handset, due to my banking apps requiring unrooted phone. Cheers.

Cheers. there is a bool in the framework or settings code (cant remember) to use your number, its disabled by default, not sure if this would be any help ? EDIT: its framework-res <bool name="config_telephony_use_own_number_for_voicemail">false</bool>
Guest eirlysbill1 Posted July 17, 2012 Report Posted July 17, 2012 I fixed this in B888 (there's a thread in here that tells you what to do) BUT, you do need root in order to delete and alter some system files...
Guest FrownBreaker Posted July 18, 2012 Report Posted July 18, 2012 The bootload unlock program has a function that roots the phone.
