Guest animal666 Posted July 17, 2012 Report Posted July 17, 2012 Anybody know how i unroot a G300. Ive got B927 ICS finally loaded, and had to root to get EMEI backup loaded back on there. do i just reflash B927 again, dont wanna brick my phone as ive very nearly done twice already. Thanks in advance..
Guest chico2069 Posted July 17, 2012 Report Posted July 17, 2012 (edited) Just leave it rooted, in my opinion. U dont loose anything by keeping it rooted unless u run a dangerous app. With a little control by u, u should have no problem. and having it rooted has its advantages (like beeing able to uninstall unwanted apps). But if u still want to unroot, that's ur call :) Don't know if simply uninstalling the Superuser app will do it but... I guess some1 more experienced in the matter can come here and reply to u. Guest kiwishaun Posted July 17, 2012 Report Posted July 17, 2012 I'm also running B927 and I was able to use SuperOneClick to unroot it. http://shortfuse.org/?page_id=2 If you want to root it again you will have to use the root application you used in the guide to upgrade to B927.

Hi I have used superone click to root xperia phones, will it root G300? thanks
Guest rjvc Posted July 18, 2012 Report Posted July 18, 2012 Why the hell would anyone want to unroot and Android phone? That's the point of buying and Android phone, to hack, improve, break and fix. Even to average users, root can be very useful to enable some apps that do cool stuff but require root access. Of course that root can also be dangerous as well, but lets face it... If we are registered in this kind of forums we should know some basic tech stuff to know what can be a dangerous or not. :P
Guest fr0do Posted July 18, 2012 Report Posted July 18, 2012 Because banking apps don't run on a rooted phone
Guest rosco-85 Posted July 18, 2012 Report Posted July 18, 2012 My G300 is rooted and my Lloyds TSB App works perfectly.
Guest Mario_Cardoso Posted July 18, 2012 Report Posted July 18, 2012 Mine bank app works too here in Portugal!
Guest kiwishaun Posted July 18, 2012 Report Posted July 18, 2012 Hi I have used superone click to root xperia phones, will it root G300? thanks Nope. I tried and it gets stuck at step 7. I was able to use it to root my Motorola Flipout and Samsung Galaxy Y but it didn't seem to work on the Ascend.
Guest Maximus9 Posted July 19, 2012 Report Posted July 19, 2012 In SuperSU, there is a option called Full Unroot. Self explanatory.
Guest unaszplodrmann Posted July 19, 2012 Report Posted July 19, 2012 My G300 is rooted and my Lloyds TSB App works perfectly. Lloyds TSB probably prefer rooted phones because they can install money laundering rootkits on them :P

Guest Chrisund123 Posted July 25, 2012 Report Posted July 25, 2012 Barclays Pingit and Skygo are a couple of apps which refuse to work with root :(
