Pressing Volume and on gets me stuck on the green android?

I have got my ZTE blade with a cm9 rom I installed it with clockwork mod but it seems to have disepeared when I press volume up it just gets stuck on the green android. It can boot into cm9 fine though but I want to upgrade it

my question is

Shall I reinstall Clockwork mod?

I have a gen1 device but I think I used a gen2 TPT or something to install CM9 should I install the gen2 clockwork mod or gen1?

That's because its volume down to get into recovery.

Remove the battery and power on holding the volume down key.

In that case it appears that CWM is not installed use rom manager to reinstall it.
