Guest Snap.IT Posted July 19, 2012 Report Posted July 19, 2012 (edited) Does not work with Gen3 phones as expected from any build via the koush web builder. No credit given to the maker of the builder either... Isn't that just precious. Edited July 19, 2012 by Snap.IT

Guest docck Posted July 19, 2012 Report Posted July 19, 2012 Ok, I downloaded it, check md5 sum (it was correct), flashed it thru terminal (and terminal said that all is OK) and tried to reboot in recovery. And nothing happened. After 10 minutes seeing at android man and red light my patience was ended and now I'll back to 5.x version.
Guest adizz Posted July 19, 2012 Report Posted July 19, 2012 Works for me, had to flash it twice though.
Guest mitchde Posted July 19, 2012 Report Posted July 19, 2012 Any .zip install (CWM .zip) available ?
Guest targetbsp Posted July 19, 2012 Report Posted July 19, 2012 (edited) Any .zip install (CWM .zip) available ? Guest HumaDroid Posted July 19, 2012 Report Posted July 19, 2012 ok, so this will support older backups and restore???
Guest targetbsp Posted July 19, 2012 Report Posted July 19, 2012 ok, so this will support older backups and restore??? It can restore older backups but i assume the backups it makes won't be usable by older CWM's
Guest matcho13579 Posted July 19, 2012 Report Posted July 19, 2012 but it can restore a backup made with the same version, can't it?
Guest targetbsp Posted July 19, 2012 Report Posted July 19, 2012 6.0.0.7 seems fine :) And is actually rather neat at saving time and sd card space if you run multiple roms. And most people didn't seem to have problem with the older version so it might have just been something wrong I was doing.
Guest andr0idbeliev3r Posted July 19, 2012 Report Posted July 19, 2012 What the diference between this and 5.x.x.x?
Guest targetbsp Posted July 19, 2012 Report Posted July 19, 2012 (edited) Reduced backup time (after the first) and if you have more than one backup (even of different roms), it greatly reduces the size needed by them. See here: http://www.pocketables.com/2012/07/new-clockworkmod-6-format-creates-significantly-smaller-backups.html Edited July 19, 2012 by targetbsp
Guest JobSup Posted July 20, 2012 Report Posted July 20, 2012 Nice to see CWM6 for the Blade. But I liked the simple way to archive complete nandroid backups on a different storage. That seems to be much more difficult with CWM6 backups.
Guest vNa5h Posted July 20, 2012 Report Posted July 20, 2012 I guess TB will not be able to extract apks from these backups created by cwm6 can somebody confirm this...i dont have the phone with me...

Guest mitchde Posted July 20, 2012 Report Posted July 20, 2012 (edited) Thanks for the .ip maker of 6.0.0.7. I can see the devs working constantly (fixes+ some new features) on that CWM sources - can someone make weekly build updates? Now its 6.0.0.8+. https://github.com/CyanogenMod/android_bootable_recovery/commits/ics/ Edited July 20, 2012 by mitchde
Guest targetbsp Posted July 20, 2012 Report Posted July 20, 2012 (edited) Nice to see CWM6 for the Blade. But I liked the simple way to archive complete nandroid backups on a different storage. That seems to be much more difficult with CWM6 backups. You should be able to just copy the blobs folder as well. The advantage being that said copying will be quicker cause there's less to copy and less space on your backup drive (assuming you have 2 or more backups) I guess TB will not be able to extract apks from these backups created by cwm6 can somebody confirm this...i dont have the phone with me... Can't test - playing with other things. :D But the titanium guy works fast. If you can't now - you will be able to soon. Edited July 20, 2012 by targetbsp
Guest sej7278 Posted July 20, 2012 Report Posted July 20, 2012 I guess TB will not be able to extract apks from these backups created by cwm6 can somebody confirm this...i dont have the phone with me... are they not just tar files or yaffs2 files now then (like cwm5)? please don't say its moved to some silly proprietary format?
Guest ufizo Posted July 21, 2012 Report Posted July 21, 2012 I guess TB will not be able to extract apks from these backups created by cwm6 can somebody confirm this...i dont have the phone with me... The new update to TB this morning, now allows you to do so :)
