Thanks for a super rom Tillaz.

I tried a couple of the addons.

Gtalk worked fine but the sim toolkit doesn't appear in my list of installed apps.

I tried it twice - no error messages but no show either.

i will fix this later on today, thanks for letting me know

it had a similar problem on the atomicmod thread

i used the B927 one myself(EU version i think) as it has all the google apps already installed on there. so no need to use Gapps like you would need to with the B926 one.

only problem with using B297 is that it actually has a different baseband... it dose not support HSPA: 11

meaning you will have slower downloads & upload speeds, B926 supports HSPA;11 meaning much faster.

there could be a down side to using HSPA: 11 (hspa+) you might suffer worse battery like in 4g

up side is you have much faster upload speeds

JUst tried this - lovely and fast, very nice. But no Exchange email is a killer for me, so back to stock ICS...

did you check the add-ons on first page?

if you like the rom but something is missing just ask me to make an add-on

and i will add it to first page, its no trouble & takes me two seconds

I've not seen other reports of lots of "application not responding - close/wait" messages so I guess it's just me? I've redownloaded and reflashed but it's still a big problem. Nav buttons stop responding then app close/wait dialog appears or app just crashes.

Any thoughts on what I could try?

Could tillaz add huawei all backup stock app, i did a backup of some very important messages with it, now i can't restore them. Thanks in forward :) p.s. i tried to install all backup, but it sais "Application not installed"..

I had another bug... While recording a video, when i finished recording and pressed stop, the phone freezed. I had to pull out the battery and boot up again. I entered gallery, the video is there but its corrupted, i cannot open it ... Before this, i recorded 3 or 4 videos normally, so i dont know what could lock up the phone ... :)

what camera where you using?

stock camera or the ICS camera

Where is the Google video editor?

it did not work when i tried it... would not allow adding files so i removed it

i have got it half working now though... just adding video is a problem & exporting project

Which governor should I use? Unless I choose Perfomance, the phone is very laggy

its actually faster to get into the settings from the launcher or status bar in ICS

just press the menu button then settings, or pull the status bar down and press the settings icon

then installed Clockwork : using link below The ClockWork menu, is blue text and says Android System Recovery (3e)

Easy CWM Recovery Installer.

Wiped Data factory reset also wiped cache partition

This is where it fails :

Installed ICS Infusion Zip using ClockWork,

I see messages :Finding update package

Opening update package

verifying update package

e: signature verification failed

e: update fail and delete temp files

formatting/cache

installation aborted

You are still on the stock recovery, you need to install Sebastians clockwork mod recovery.... If you read through the guide to install b926 you should see the files you need.

Using Clock work instaalled on phone, try to update it aka install Sebs version,

navigate to recovery-clockwork-4.015s-hwu8815-update-sign

fails with e signature verifacation failed

method 2

fastboot

get error error: cannot load 'recovery-clockwork-4.0.1.5s-hwu8815'

Any help appreciated

My bad i think i know what the problem is....have you unlocked bootloader and rooted the phone properly?....

-make sure you followed Hpez's guide properly to avoid making a mistake

A few people had this problem.

Go to settings >developer options, scroll down and turn off force gpu rendering.... That should sort it.

If course I did that as proposed but this does not solve the problem.

I found limiting background processes helped a lot. Settings > Developer options > At most, 4 processes. I guess it reduces the phones ability to multitask as well as it should but hey you're not going to multitask well if it's laggy anyway :P having said that I've not run into any issues running all the apps I need. Give it a try worse case it doesn't work, if it does work for you the setting does get reset back to default if you restart / shutdown your phone

Problem with the rom being a bit laggy even after the 2d gpu setting is off

any suggestions on improving speed or should we just wait till the next build??

its because of huawei not including UI acceleration (the openGL thing people are talking about)

So do you think the people saying how there's is performing great are just more patient than me? I couldn't handle the lag on button presses and transitions and no fiddling in settings seem to get it quick enough for me to use as a daily driver, great functionality so far tho' dude ;)

yeah, it will always be slower than gingerbread utill huawei fix this...

then i can use better tweaks for performance.

i just hope huawei hurry up and sort this out... because when i get my quad core device i wont have much time for the g300
