Guest TangerineTractor Posted August 10, 2012 Report Posted August 10, 2012 im using Elixir status bar widget for now, locks in to your status bar and you have full access everytime you need it, fully customizable ;) I'm using Power Toggles in much the same way, advantage is that you can pin it to the top of the notifications rather than appearing at the bottom.
Guest dt_matthews Posted August 10, 2012 Report Posted August 10, 2012 As previously posted Im using the beta [very impressive] but I did try and use the camera last night, frankly I think I'd be better with a pin-hole. I've lost track of camera tweaks specifically, are all the latest tweaks in the beta rom or is there a camera update worth flashing? cheers

Guest TangerineTractor Posted August 10, 2012 Report Posted August 10, 2012 thats alarming - mine is near to useless... but much worse than it used to be also Have you tried a reboot? Try installing ICS Camera + from Play maybe? Enhanced stock camera, although I didnt notice any difference.
Guest dt_matthews Posted August 10, 2012 Report Posted August 10, 2012 (edited) actually, it appears the biggest problem is lower-light levels, my camera all but refuses to focus (auto or touch focus) in lower light (not particularly dark, just indoors and not bright daylight) conditions Edited August 10, 2012 by dt_matthews
Guest TangerineTractor Posted August 10, 2012 Report Posted August 10, 2012 status bar power widgets are a personal thing.. i like it done the popper way , think it looks better and works a lot better I put the power widgets zip on, I've got the options in settings, but they aren;t displaying in the notification area.

Guest Mario_Cardoso Posted August 10, 2012 Report Posted August 10, 2012 (edited) Tillaz,if you are thinking about keeping the stock Camera app, please consider to replace it to the app in the link below. It is a better version of stock app, but with some more functions, like turn off any sounds for example. Here the link to the market: https://play.google....2FtZXJhaWNzIl0. And here the file: http://minus.com/lr62oxvUS9Em6 This version should be ads free. If not, sorry! Edited August 10, 2012 by Mario_Cardoso

This produces a much better clearer image that pans, pretty much, lag free. I think it's the auto focus that causes the lag.. maybe the processor can't keep up? Anyway in stock ICS (B926/B927) I think there was an option to turn off auto focus but I can't remember and I think it may have produced a better video... If anyone is running any of those versions can you confirm that option? If you do have any spare time in the future then it would be interesting to port over the GB camera to ICS, but I can see your plate is full so if it doesn't fit into your schedule then that's cool too. :)

If anyone is running any of those versions can you confirm that option? B927, in video I cannot see a setting to adjust focus, I can set a focus point by touching the screen before 'start record' seems to hold this focus until 'stop record', cannot touch screen again while recording and will not auto focus if I pan to distance after starting in near etc . Only settings (video) are for white balance, 640x480 or 176x144, review/gpstag/savelocation or restore defaults and the flash setting on screen. For camera, I can switch scene mode to 'off' then switch 'auto focus' on or off, but this setting will not carry/remain available when switched to video. Edited August 10, 2012 by MickJack
Guest kieranswhite Posted August 10, 2012 Report Posted August 10, 2012 I'm having trouble with my external sd card. the rom doesn't seem to recognise it. a reboot sometimes fixes this issue for me. any ideas?
Guest stokietom Posted August 10, 2012 Report Posted August 10, 2012 I have been using the BETA for a while now and it's been perfect apart from one minor issue. Sometimes my WiFi will just drop out and I'll have to turn it off and back on to get it working again. Cheers

Guest broekhuijsen Posted August 10, 2012 Report Posted August 10, 2012 (edited) I think it's because you can't access the Widgetsoid toggles from within an open app. It's useful to be able to access some switches from within an app by way of the notification menu. Well, with widgestsoid you can. There is a setting to put it in the statusbar just like the stock one. Only it looks a lot nicer and is fully customizable. You can even put it there without putting the widget on the homescreen (make that invizible) Oh and now by removing the other posts, my screenshot got lost. Well you got the picture I guess :) The website somehow yesterday did not load but somehow my message was posted three times.. Edited August 11, 2012 by broekhuijsen

Guest Mario_Cardoso Posted August 11, 2012 Report Posted August 11, 2012 Those are really nice and clean! Love it! Tillaz, perhaps is better to standby this development and start to work in the new B934... Everyone are starting to flash the new rom. What is your idea?

Guest Posted August 11, 2012 Report Posted August 11, 2012 Why is this rom the 4.0.3 and not the 4.0.4 version of ICS?
