Guest mmmcfc Posted July 20, 2012 Report Posted July 20, 2012 (edited) Here is the first custom recovery for the HTC Desire C. You need to have adb configured for this to work. /* * Your warranty is now void. * * I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards, * thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please * do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM * before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if * you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you. */ Connect your phone your PC using a USB Cable, then open up a command prompt. Type in the following command: adb reboot bootloader This should have rebooted your device into the bootloader, if it did not then you may not have the right drivers Then to flash the recovery type: fastboot flash recovery clockworkrecovery.img Recovery Beta 2 DOWNLOAD SuperSu for those who want Root DOWNLOAD Choose 'Install zip from SD card' To get power button to work as 'select' move up or down using the volume buttons until the notice "back menu button enabled" comes up. Credits to Mitnik22 for spotting. This will be necessary every time you boot into recovery until such time as I find a fix. After you have installed try my ROM :) http://www.modaco.co...-slim-sense-10/ If you like it upvote my post, or consider donating so I can get this device :) Edited July 25, 2012 by mmmcfc
Guest squishycube Posted July 22, 2012 Report Posted July 22, 2012 (edited) Hi! Thanks for this custom recovery, had been waiting for one to appear. I've successfully followed your instructions. Was the first time I installed a custom recovery. One thing I had to think of by myself was when Clockwork Rom Manager asked which version the custom recovery was, but I guessed the newer one would be the right choice and it was. Additionally. I ran the commands you asked and got this: C:\Program Files (x86)\Android\android-sdk\platform-tools>adb shell cat /proc/em mc dev: size erasesize name mmcblk0p17: 00040000 00000200 "misc" mmcblk0p21: 0087f400 00000200 "recovery" mmcblk0p22: 00400000 00000200 "boot" mmcblk0p25: 31dffe00 00000200 "system" mmcblk0p28: 0afffe00 00000200 "cache" mmcblk0p26: 3cfffe00 00000200 "userdata" mmcblk0p29: 017ade00 00000200 "devlog" mmcblk0p31: 00040000 00000200 "pdata" mmcblk0p32: 05ffe000 00000200 "fat" mmcblk0p30: 00011c00 00000200 "extra" C:\Program Files (x86)\Android\android-sdk\platform-tools>adb shell cat /proc/pa rtitions major minor #blocks name 179 0 2375680 mmcblk0 179 1 20 mmcblk0p1 179 2 544 mmcblk0p2 179 3 4500 mmcblk0p3 179 4 1 mmcblk0p4 179 5 30000 mmcblk0p5 179 6 12500 mmcblk0p6 179 7 2048 mmcblk0p7 179 8 3072 mmcblk0p8 179 9 2048 mmcblk0p9 179 10 1024 mmcblk0p10 179 11 1024 mmcblk0p11 179 12 8751 mmcblk0p12 179 13 4096 mmcblk0p13 179 14 4096 mmcblk0p14 179 15 1024 mmcblk0p15 179 16 6909 mmcblk0p16 179 17 256 mmcblk0p17 179 18 1024 mmcblk0p18 179 19 1024 mmcblk0p19 179 20 1280 mmcblk0p20 179 21 8701 mmcblk0p21 179 22 4096 mmcblk0p22 179 23 256 mmcblk0p23 179 24 2047 mmcblk0p24 179 25 817151 mmcblk0p25 179 26 999423 mmcblk0p26 179 27 131071 mmcblk0p27 179 28 180223 mmcblk0p28 179 29 24247 mmcblk0p29 179 30 71 mmcblk0p30 179 31 256 mmcblk0p31 179 32 98296 mmcblk0p32 179 64 1931264 mmcblk1 179 65 1929244 mmcblk1p1 Edited July 22, 2012 by squishycube
